I came across Mary J. Telford during my research of the Civil War soldiers of Perinton, New York. I was intrigued as to the reason Mary was listed as a Civil War veteran. She is the only female I have found so far in my research. Mary is buried at South Perinton Cemetery, and I have a photo of her grave I will happily email you. Do you know if she was a Perinton native?

In January 2010, I will be presenting a program to the historical society about the Civil War soldiers of Monroe County and would love more information about Mary. Are there any photographs of her?

Thanks for any additional information you are able to share about Mary.
